Our researching project „Migration in Europe” (since 2013)

Our new research project "Migration in Europe" is currently being planned and will be implemented across countries in cooperation with well-known institutions.

The Conference of European Churches (CEC) and the Churches’ Commission for Migrants in Europe (CCME) has already declared 2010 the year of migration. Hereby the diverse commitment of churches towards foreigners should be shown. This commitment is based on the biblical message of everyone’s own dignity. Therefore, the churches advocate an inclusive politic for migrants, refugees and ethnic minorities on a European and national level. A special ERASMUS+project 2016/17 together with SIPCC and other European partners has produced guidelines concerning this issue.

Our own research project “Migration in Europa” perceives itself as a academic research of various aspects and problems of European migration and integration which the EU-commission has ascertained in May of 2013. Furthermore, we want to allude to a migration survey of the Liechtenstein-Institut which was publicly discussed as part of a lecture series on “Migration-Integration-Participation” in November, 2013. Meanwhile, the migration report (2016-2017) by the Federal Government of Germany has been published. You can also find a current migration report of the Swiss Confederation as well as corresponding data and figures from Austria. Last but not least we refer our studies to actual statistics by EUROSTAT and informations published by CCME, CEC and WCC.
